23 March 2012, Sweetcrude, ABUJA – UAE’s Gulmar Offshore says Subsea 7 has chartered its support vessel for work off Nigeria.

Gulmar Condor, a pipe-layer, will be put to work on Subsea 7’s MPN Satellite project off the West African oil powerhouse, the company said on Friday.

The firm contract is set to begin in early April and last for 50 days. However, there are options involved, the number and length of which Gulmar did not disclose.

The owner also did not reveal the contract value.

The Gulmar Condor will have a fairly mobilisation from its current job with Perenco off Gabon. The vessel has been laying three rigid flowlines up to eight inches in diameter, spool pieces, risers and a 31-kilometre cable for an unidentified project.
